Biography

Carolina Valladares Pasquel is a researcher at CEDLA – University of Amsterdam. In her research on “The Politics of Ideas for Leaving Fossil Fuels Underground” she analyzes the cases of social mobilization to stop oil extraction in Ecuador, where she comes from, and gas extraction in The Netherlands.

She works on topics related to political ecology, social mobilization, extractive industries, and rights of nature.
