The very last activity of WWNA 2019 is the site-specific exploration of Oslo’s “sustainability hotspots”.

All holders of WWNA tickets have the right to join a FREE guided tour. Book one of the tours via Google Form in Information Package that has been emailed to you.

  1. Urban Street Art Tour

by Oslo Street Art tour and James Finucane

Learn all about the artists and the stories behind unique Oslo (street)artworks on a journey from the eastern district of Tøyen to Grunerløkka in the heart of ´alternative´ Oslo with James Finucane, a writer, curator, producer and artist with over 10 years´ experience working with street art.

Time: 14:30 (Sunday, October 27)

Meeting point: Deichman Biblo Tøyen, Hagegata 22, 0653 Oslo

Duration: 2 hours

Capacity: 20 people

2. Moving sustainably, Oslo’s mobility transformation

by Oslo European Green Capital and Alex Arnfinsen

Come and meet Alex Arnfinsen and get to grip’s with Oslo’s electric side! Alex will hold a study tour on car-free city life (bilfritt byliv). He’s been Chief Architect in Oslo with decades of experience with urban planning and design and will introduce you to Oslo’s mobility transformation with new initiatives towards an even more sustainable model. You’ll get to know the city and it’s Green European Capital.

3. Go green, sustainable food futures

by Gro Gront: a tour of their microgreen growing facility

Gro Gront’s tour will start at their wonderful growth container. From here you’ll learn the steps and methods needed for growing food for the surrounding community. The tour includes a tasting of the produce; fresh apple juice & drinks from Fåbro Gård, varieties of herbs and greens from the container. You’ll also visit the small farm, located 150 meters from the container, and follow the journey of the produce to the nearby wasteland, with Olav Line from Mustad, on hand to answer any of your questions.

4. Oslo by (floating) sauna

What could be more Scandi than a floating sauna? A few lucky participants will have the chance to try out the famous Kok Floating Sauna, and understand how this quirky start-up captured the imagination (and the mornings) of local residents.

Other: Bring your bathing suit, a towel and your social spirit- this is a group activity with a communal taste of scandi sauna, and some well earned time overlooking Oslo’s most iconic sights, and getting to know a local favorite with Kok founder, Kristin Lorange.
