Biography
Anna Berza is a Romanian anthropologist, currently based in Zürich. She holds a MA in Ethnology, Cultural Anthropology and Folklore and has written her thesis about the bicycle subculture of Bucharest. After graduating, she founded the NGO Initiative for Useful Anthropology and has advocated for the importance of applied anthropology ever since.
Her current research interests are urban anthropology, marginalized communities, social movements, and community building.
