Marie Heřmanová is an anthropologist, journalist and writer. She holds a PhD in social anthropology from Charles University in Prague. She conducted research in urban anthropology, migration studies and digital anthropology in Mexico and Europe. She’s currently working as a postdoc researcher at the Institute of Sociology at the Czech Academy of Sciences and she’s a member of the studio of applied anthropology research Anthropictures.
She used to work in the NGO sector as PR and media coordinator and she writes for various Czech media. She considers herself to be a storyteller first and foremost (and that’s what she loves about anthropology).
