Biography

Martin Dolský is a student of socio-cultural anthropology at Charles University in Prague. He is particularly interested in anthropology of space and place and material culture, which he explores in applied as well as academic projects in the field of urban anthropology. He’s been involved in participative planning research projects in Prague and Jihlava and he recently finished his thesis where he focused on a newly built gated community, using the lens of social production and social construction of space.

Martin believes in the value of people-centered urban design and city planning and would like to continue working on participative projects, giving voice to both the real users of public spaces as well as to anthropology as a discipline.
