Petra Smutná is a student of socio-cultural anthropology at Charles University in Prague. She is currently conducting her ethnographic research for her master thesis about Latin American salsa dance as a commercialized product on sale.
What she considers as the key for understanding today’s dynamic world, it is the possibility of anthropological research in going deep down into a certain topic and revealing people’s emotions, feelings, needs, and opinions. In future, she would like to become an applied anthropologist focused on business anthropology. However, she would also like to discover other disciplines where anthropological research could be utilized.
Petra is devoted to Spanish, travelling and, of course, she loves to dance salsa.
