Biography

Inspired from an early age by social change and politics, Helena pursued her passion for photography during a VT while simultaneously studying Journalism at the University of Seville. Exploring her interest in social identity and culture, she took courses on society and film analysis, later specializing in socio-cultural anthropology through a Master’s degree. Her thesis focused on technological addiction, postmodern cyberpunk audiovisual narrative, and the consumption habits of the Millennials and Z gens.

Helena has actively volunteered in multiple academic conferences related to communication and critical thinking. Professionally, she has gained experience in film festivals, as well as working as a CM for an academic publishing house and as a CB for an anthropology start up while pursuing a MSc in Business Anthropology.

Currently, Helena is actively involved in her own non-profit project, AUNT FLO PROJECT (Anthropology of Gynecology), which focuses on women’s experiences with their menstrual life and journey as gynecology patients.
